Configuration of a Proxy
What You Will Learn
After finishing this guide you will understand how to configure a proxy in the Workflow Executor App.
What is a Proxy?
A proxy is a dedicated computer or a software system running on a computer that acts as an intermediary between an endpoint device, such as a computer, and another server from which a user or client is requesting a service.
Open the Proxy Settings
The Proxy-Settings can be found under
You will be prompted with the following dialog:
Set a Proxy
The following chapters will guide you through the process of setting a Proxy in the Workflow Executor App.
Select the Proxy-Type
The Workflow Executor App supports 4 different types of proxies. To proceed choose one of them via the drop down menu from the top.
Fill in Proxy-Information
Once the proxy type has been selected the input fields in the dialog will be enabled, and the proxy information can be added.
Add non-proxy hosts
The following chapter will guide you through the process of adding a non-proxy host.
What are non-proxy host?
As described above, a proxy acts as an intermediary between two devices (e.g client and server). By adding a non-proxy host, the connection to the host will be made directly and not by using the set proxy.
Add a non-proxy host
Adding a non-proxy host works as followed:
|1||Click on the ‘Add non-proxy host’ button, now a tiny dialog will be prompted.|
|2||Enter the host adress|
|3||Click on ‘Save changes’|
After doing so the now added non-proxy host will be displayed as follows:
Delete a non-proxy host
To delete a non-proxy host:
|1||Select the non-proxy host in the view|
|2||Click the trashcan button|
